The Kentucky Division of Water publishes the list of certified water well drillers. We read it on October 7, 2026; every name in the table below comes from it, with the certification types the state gives. Ask any business for its certification number before work starts.
How many certified water well drillers are there in Kentucky?
The Kentucky Division of Water list we read shows 18 drilling companies based in Kentucky with a water well certificate. Kentucky does not license well pump work, so the list says nothing about who repairs pumps; ask a driller whether it services pumps. Firms certified only for monitoring wells are left out.
Does Kentucky require private well owners to test their water?
No. Kentucky does not require private well owners to test their water, but the Division of Water advises a test every year.
