About WellsNear
Licensed well pump installers and water well contractors in Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas, taken from the state license lists, with Arkansas and Missouri to follow when their lists arrive. Our focus is existing wells: pump repair and water testing.
Who runs it
WellsNear is a small, independent publisher. It is not owned by, or a front for, any business it lists. Listings, corrections and questions are handled by our listings editor, Quentin. Write to editor@wellsnear.com and it reaches the desk directly.
Where the facts come from
- State water well and pump installer license lists: the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (Texas open data).
- Each business's public Google profile, matched to the license list by phone number or by name in the same town, for its address, website, reviews and whether it is still open.
- State well rules, health department testing programs, federal guidance (EPA, HUD, USDA) and published prices, each linked to the page it came from, with a short quote we matched against that page.

What decides a listing
A business appears only if a state license list names it with a class a homeowner would hire (pump installation, water well drilling, well closure or water treatment), it works for the public, and its phone or name matches an open Google profile. Licensed people with no company appear in the state list tables by town, never with a home address. Order is by distance and our quality score.
Independence and money
No business can pay for its place in the rankings, its badges or its license data.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, email editor@wellsnear.com with the page and what should change. A business can also update or claim its own listing. We check each correction against a public source or the business itself, fix what is wrong, and date the change. A business closed on its public record is removed automatically; a business that tells us it is still open stays listed while we check.
